Lack of awareness is the biggest barrier to preventing trafficking in India. This is why Mass Media Campaigns to build awareness about trafficking amongst the general Indian public is one of the Operation Red Alert Pillars.
While Campaigns have yet to kick off under Operation Red Alert, My Choices Foundation has already run one viral campaign in India.
Good Father Campaign
The first national mass media campaign of Operation Red Alert of My Choices Foundation was launched in 2016. The Good father campaign is a positive campaign that educates reinforces and celebrates what it is to be a good father. t was supported by Indian Cricketer MS Dhoni and many other partners.
India’s favourite cricketers lead a campaign to encourage men and boys to respect women and girls to protect them. The campaign was joined by World #1 batsman AB de Villiers who pledged solidarity with India because violence against women and girls is bigger than South Africa vs India.
